Chairman Nepal "waiting for formal proposal" to join government

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar discussed the Socialist’s possibility of joining the government.

Unified Socialist Chairman Nepal reached Singha Darbar to meet Prime Minister Prachanda on Wednesday afternoon, according to PM’s Secretariat.

The United Socialist Party has yet to decide about participation in the Prachanda-led government.

The party is waiting for a ‘green signal’ or a formal proposal from the government.

Madhav Nepal is of the view that the party would make a decision before Prime Minister Prachanda takes a vote of confidence.
