KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) opened the week with a slight downturn in its index, marking a decline of 7.29 points, settling at 1,851.23 points on Sunday.
Trading activities witnessed the exchange of 3,419,073 shares across 293 companies, with transactions occurring 36,977 times, amounting to Rs. 964,010,431.
Notably, the microfinance group observed a marginal rise of 0.06 percent, while all other sectoral sub-indices experienced declines. Among them, the mutual fund group faced the most substantial dip of 1.25 percent, followed by a 0.55 percent decrease in the finance group.
Threestar Hydropower Limited emerged with the most significant surge, showing a 9.63 percent increase in its share price. However, Mountain Energy Nepal Limited and United IDI Mardi RB Hydropower Limited saw the most substantial declines, both experiencing a 9.99 percent drop in their share prices.
Sonapur Minerals and Oil Limited took the lead in trading volume and share value, with 236,788 shares traded worth Rs. 69,529,270 based on transaction amount and share quantity.
