Panic ensues as power bank explodes at Tribhuvan International Airport



KATHMANDU: Tension rose at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) when a power bank inside a passenger’s bag detonated, startling many present there.

According to sources, the explosion occurred at around 1 pm on Sunday involving the explosion of a foreign passenger’s power bank, igniting a fire within the bag. The sudden blast led to chaos within the airport’s international terminal.

Although the fire caused minor damage in the international terminal, authorities swiftly brought the situation under control within minutes. The airport has since resumed normal operations.
