PM Dahal set to return to Nepal today 



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal is set to return to Nepal on Sunday.

PM Dahal is currently in Dubai leading a high-level delegation to the 28th Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 28) in UAE.

PM Dahal, who is scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu at 6:00 pm, emphasized the importance of international collaboration in fulfilling commitments and effectively implementing climate actions. He called for a doubling of adaptation finance by 2025 and immediate allocation of half of climate finance to adaptation efforts.

In his statements, PM Dahal stressed the critical need for meeting the $100 billion climate finance obligation, reinstating the Green Climate Fund, and ensuring the implementation of the loss and damage fund in a clear and accessible manner for the Least Developed Countries (LDCs).
