Gandaki province implementing 1,400 projects



MYAGDE: The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development and Transport Management of Gandaki Province has prepared an action plan to improve the implementation of the budget for the current fiscal year.

This ministry accounts for more than half of the total budget of the provincial government of Rs 20 billion.

Accordingly, it is implementing 1,400 projects related to roads, bridges, buildings and suspension bridges in the current financial year.

The meeting of the ministerial level development action committee and the review of the first quarter held in Ghodepani of Annapoorna rural municipality-6, Myagdi came up with an action plan to implement the programs in a way to spent at least 80 percent of the capital budget in the current fiscal year.

In the last fiscal year 2079-80, the ministry spent only 58 percent of its budget. Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development and Transport Management Jugjali said that the implementation of last year’s budget was not satisfactory due to the election, two changes of government and lack of inter-ministerial coordination.
