Cabinet approves President Paudel’s upcoming visit to France



KATHMANDU: The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Thursday has approved President Ramchandra Paudel’s upcoming visit to France, Germany, and Italy.

The President is set to embark on an official visit to France, the Federal Republic of Germany, and Italy, commencing on November 8.

President Paudel’s itinerary will include attending the Paris Peace Forum in Paris, followed by visits to the Federal Republic of Germany and Italy. He is expected to return home on November 17.

In addition to the President’s visit, the Council of Ministers meeting also sanctioned separate foreign trips for three ministers, including one state minister, and the Chief Commissioner of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).

Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka will lead a delegation to participate in the 18th edition of the Dubai Airshow 2023, scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Furthermore, Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Supplies Ramesh Rijal has been granted permission to attend the Sixth China International Import Expo in Shanghai, China.

The Cabinet also granted CIAA’s Chief Commissioner Prem Kumar Rai’s visit to the USA. Rai is scheduled to attend the 10th Session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention Against Corruption to take place there from December 11 to December 15.
