Top Chinese leader visiting Nepal next week



KATHMANDU: Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) Tibet Autonomous Region, Wang Junxheng, is scheduled to embark on a visit to Nepal next Wednesday and Thursday leading a high-level delegation.

Last month, during Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda’s visit to China, Wang extended a reception to the Nepalese leader in Tibet.

The visit included discussions on various bilateral issues of mutual interest.

In light of the cordial exchange, Prime Minister Dahal extended an invitation to Wang to visit Nepal.

During his stay in Kathmandu, Wang is slated to engage in meetings with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Deputy Prime Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka, overseeing the Ministry of Defense, and another Deputy Prime Minister, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, handling the Ministry of Home Affairs, among others.
