Tremor jolts Bajhang



KATHMANDU: An earthquake took place with its epicenter at Chainpur of Bajhang district.

According to the National Earthquake Measurement Centre, Surkhet, an earthquake of magnitude 6.3 was felt in the district at 3. 06 pm this afternoon.

Earlier, a tremor of 5.3 magnitude was experienced at 2.40 pm.

The details of damage caused by the tremor are still to come.

Earlier too, an earthquake with its epicenter in Bajhang , and Bajura occurred several times.

Nepal’s hilly and mountainous areas are considered a vulnerable zone for earthquakes.
