KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor, Balen Shah, is set to embark on a journey to Sri Lanka to witness the Nepal-India match in the Asia Cup cricket tournament.
According to Navin Manandhar, spokesperson for the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Mayor Balen Shah’s visit to Sri Lanka is motivated by his keen interest in the upcoming cricket clash.
The Nepal-India match is scheduled to take place on Monday at 3:30 PM Nepali time, and Mayor Balen Shah has opted to travel via Himalayan Airlines for this exciting event.
Notably, Nepal recently competed against Pakistan in the same tournament.
In a related development, Rabi Lamichhane, Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, has also made the journey to Sri Lanka to witness the Nepal-India match, showcasing the immense excitement and anticipation surrounding this cricketing spectacle.
