RSP holding Central Committee meeting today

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has scheduled a meeting of its Central Committee for this afternoon at the party’s central office in Chyasmati, Kathmandu.

Party Vice Chairman, DP Aryal, confirmed the meeting, stating that its primary purpose is to apprise the central members of the prevailing situation.

The agenda will focus on discussing the party’s political document.

Notably, the RSP is gearing up for its inaugural convention scheduled to take place in December.

Presently, the party boasts 39 Central Committee members.

However, as per the party statute, the Central Committee is supposed to have 121 members.

The remaining positions meant for representation from Madhesi, Janajatis, backward areas, and other sectors are yet to be filled.

The meeting holds significance as it will serve to update and strategize the party’s approach in the current political landscape, Aryal said.
