JSP forms committee for unity with various political parties

KATHMANDU: The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) formed a “negotiation committee” to make unity and alliance with the United Socialist Party amid talks of party unity.

The party has entrusted party leader Rajendra Prasad Shrestha to coordinate for making unity with Unified Socialist and other parties.

A meeting of JSP political committee has put forth conditions to join the Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda-led government.

JSP said it would join the government if the basic principles of the party are not adverse to republic, federalism, secularism and inclusiveness.

The party has also said that it will join the government only if the demands and issues raised by JSP are addressed, which means that the party has insisted that its leader shold be appointed as the country’s Vice President.
