Nepal Samajwadi Party holding Political Committee meet on Jan 8



KATHMANDU: Nepal Samajwadi Party led by former Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai is holding a meeting of the party’s political committee on January 8.

According to Bishwadeep Pandey, head of the party’s publicity department, the meeting will discuss contemporary politics, recently-concluded elections, the party’s future course of action, the possibility of unification with the Maoist Center, among others.

In the general election held in November, Nepal Samajwadi Party contested the election with the election symbol of Maoist Center.

It also should be noted that Chairman of Nepal Samajwadi Party Dr. Bhattarai has been joining the meetings of the ruling coalition.

On Monday, Bhattarai held a meeting with Prime Minister and Chairman of Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” and CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli about current political developments and making the ruling alliance and government more effective.
