KATHMANDU: The country presently experiences the impact of westerly winds, contributing to a noticeable decrease in temperatures.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the weather is generally clear in most parts of the country, with the hilly regions experiencing partial cloudiness.

In the afternoon, the weather in the hilly areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces is likely to remain partly cloudy to normal conditions.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will witness partly cloudy to generally clear skies.

There is also a slight chance of light snowfall in specific locations within Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali Province.

As night falls, the hilly areas will experience partial cloudiness, while the rest of the country will enjoy generally clear conditions.

There remains a potential for light snowfall in a few places in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

The Division has urged people to take necessary precautions to mitigate the potential effects of snowfall, as the temperature drops across the nation.
