14 passengers injured in road accident



TULSIPUR: A total of 14 passengers were injured when a passenger bus (Ga.1Ka. 8485), en route from Pokhara to Surkhet, met with an accident at Dang.

The bus met with an accident next to the Babaisota bridge on the East-West highway, Police Inspector Shankar Shrestha of Lamhi Ward Police Office said.

The bus fell 10 meters below the road. The injured are undergoing treatment at Lamhi Hospital.

The driver of the vehicle, 33-year-old Ramakrishna Khadka, a resident of Sunpati Rural Municipality-3, Ramechhap, has been detained by the police.

The bus was carrying 16 passengers. Police said that two of them were rescued safely.
