Planes of Yeti and Shree Air enroute to Pokhara forced to return to Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: Aircraft of Yeti Airlines and Shree Airlines, scheduled for a flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, were compelled to return to Kathmandu.

The two planes, which departed from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Monday morning, were unable to land at Pokhara International Airport due to technical issues encountered at the Pokhara Airport.

According to Subash Jha, the spokesperson for TIA, the decision to return to Kathmandu was made after the pilots failed to establish contact with the Pokhara airport tower.

Jha said, “The two aircraft were forced to return to Kathmandu due to a communication service issue at the tower.”
