Govt will take responsibility for the safety of health workers: Kaski CM Pandey

KASKI: Chief Minister (CM) of Gandaki Province, Surendraraj Pandey, has stated that everyone concerned should collectively work to ensure the safety of the health sector.

Chief Minister Pandey mentioned that the incidents involving doctors at Manipal Teaching Hospital Pokhara and Lamjung were unpleasant.

“Nobody should be allowed to vandalize the hospital and mistreat health workers,” Chief Minister Pandey emphasized. “However, it doesn’t mean that there are no weaknesses on the part of the doctors; weaknesses can exist.”

He affirmed that the government would assume responsibility for the safety of health workers in their workplace. “The government is accountable for the safety of all those involved in this profession.”

Nevertheless, Chief Minister Pandey also highlighted that finding a solution is the collective responsibility of everyone.
