KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ inaugurated the party’s ambitious three-month-long transformation campaign via virtual means on Saturday.

Chairman Dahal kicked off the ‘Maoist with the People: Special Transformation Campaign’ virtually, extending its reach to all wards across the country.

As part of the official campaign launch, all top party leaders are set to converge in the ward levels, with the formal proceedings scheduled to commence at 1 pm.

Prime Minister Dahal, who also holds the position of Chairman, is set to participate in the program located in Chandragiri Municipality-2, Ghattedanda.

The Maoist Chairman initiated the campaign by unveiling banners in 6,743 wards, right from the party’s headquarters in Paris Danda. He acknowledged the challenging juncture in the Maoist movement’s history and expressed confidence in the party’s ability to regain unity and strength through this special initiative. He stressed the significance of campaigns in shaping the party’s organization and fostering new ideas.

While recognizing the government’s commendable efforts in addressing issues such as the fake refugee case, the Lalita Niwas land grab case, and the gold smuggling scandal, Prime Minister Dahal pointed out that some individuals remained dissatisfied with the efforts to uproot the corruption cases.
