Maoist Center’s Standing Committee meeting begins in Parisdanda



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Maoist Center’s Standing Committee is underway at the party central office in Parisdanda in Kathmandu.

Earlier, the party held a meeting of the office bearers.

The meeting is finalized the political and organizational report to be submitted to the Central Committee meeting starting today.

The meeting also discussed various issues, including current political developments, party’s participation in the government, and the actions taken by the government, among others.

Meanwhile, the Standing Committee will endorse the report finalized by the Office Bearers and submit it to the Central Committee.

The Maoist Center has 387 central members. Members of the party’s Accounts Committee, Election Committee and Disciplinary Committee will also attend the meeting.

It is said that more than 700 leaders and activists will participate in the five-day meeting.
