Lomanthang announces public holiday to celebrate Mustangi King’s eldest son’s wedding

JOMSOM: Lomanthang Rural Municipality of Mustang has decided to grant a public holiday on Monday to celebrate the wedding ceremony of Prince Jhigmi Sheti Dhindup Phunchok Palwr Bista.

The Rural Municipality decided to give a holiday to let the public participate in the grand cultural and historical occasion as per the local’s sentiments, the press statement issued by the Municipality shared.

Jhigmi Dhindup Shethi Bista is the eldest son of Mustangi King Jhigmi Palwar Bista.

“The auspicious wedding ceremony of Prince Jhigmi Dhindup Phunchok Palwar Bista, the eldest son of Mustangi historical, cultural, and religious king Jhigmi Shethi Palwar Bista, is being celebrated by organizing various cultural programs in Lomanthang Rural Municipality on July 3, 2023,” said the press note issued by the rural municipality.

All the offices including the educational institutions will remain closed on Monday for the same, the press note said.
