Minister Acharya calls for ending all forms of VAW



KAPILVASTU: Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizen Surendra Raj Acharya has called for ending all sorts of discrimination and violence against women (VAW).

Visiting his hometown Kapilvastu for the first time after swearing in as the minister, Minister Acharya said that the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens was working to make women self-reliant.

He claimed to begin developmental projects in the district along with jobs for the local people there.

He argued that his first priority was to start some mega projects in the Kapilvastu district, which he says is lagging behind in the development activities.
