NC “pardons” former minister Joshi, others



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to “pardon” former minister Govindraj Joshi, Bikash Koirala and other leaders, who had violated party discipline.

Joint General Secretary Badri Pandey said that a meeting of Nepali Congress Central work Execution Committee held at Sanepa on Sunday decided to pardon leaders of Bara, Tanahun and Chitwan who violated the party discipline by contesting as independent candidates before 2079 BS.

According to him, it has been decided to activate the disciplinary committee in the coming days after looking at the role of the suspended leaders in the by-elections.

Joshi, the former minister of Tanahun, was taken action against Ram Chandra Paudel in the last election.
