By-election: NC to support Upendra Yadav in Bara-2



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to support Janata Samajwadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav in Bara Constituency-2 in the April 23 by-election.

A meeting of the party’s Central work execution Committee held at the party office in Sanepa on Sunday morning decided to support Yadav.

According to a party leader, the meeting took a unanimous decision to support Yadav.

By-elections have been scheduled to be held on April 23 for the three vacant seats in the House of Representatives.

By-elections will be held in Bara-2, Chitwan Constituency- and Tanahu Constituency-1.

Nepali Congress has decided to field central member Gobinda Bhattarai in Tanahu-1 and Jit Narayan Shrestha in Chitwan-2.
