KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Maoist Center’s Standing Committee is taking place today (Thursday).

The meeting to be held at the party central office at Parisdanda in Koteswor will discuss the country’s current political and party organization issues, leaders said.

According to a leader, the meeting will discuss issues such as the dispute between the ruling partner parties regarding the Ministry of Home Affairs, the upcoming presidential election, and assigning the responsibilities of leaders in the party’s departments, among others.

Earlier, the meeting scheduled to be held on Wednesday was postponed due to the tight schedule of party Chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda.
