KATHMANDU: The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) is holding a meeting of its Political Committee to discuss whether or not it should join the government.
The two-day meeting (Monday and Tuesday) will make a decision on the pary’s future course of action, including whether the party should participate in the government, JSP parliamentary party leader Ramsahay Prasad Yadav said.
Yadav said that the meeting will also review the election result and analyze the political situation and take necessary decisions.
Although JSP has already assured Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” of giving the vote of confidence, the party leaders are undecided whether to join the government or not.
Since party Chairman Upendra Yadav is not elected to the House of Representatives, party insiders said he is “not interested” to join the government.
But most of the leaders, including the newly-elected parliamentarians, have insisted on joining the government.
