NEPSE declines by 33 points, climbs down below 2000 points



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) fell by 33.20 points on the first day of the week taking the market down below 2000 points.

The stock market reached down to 1,971.10 points on Sunday.

Today, shares of hydropower, hotel, insurance, and microfinance groups have fallen by high numbers.

Shares of Sunrise First Mutual Fund, Upper Hewakhola Hydropower, Asian Hydropower, Menchiam Hydropower, Manakamana Engineering, and Citizen Life Insurance Company have decreased by 10 percent. Although the overall market was subdued, the shares of Sayapatri Hydropower Company increased by 10 percent.

67,23,000 shares were traded for 1.87 billion rupees today. The Citizen Life Insurance had the highest transaction on Sunday. It had the transaction of the shares worth 147.3 million rupees have been bought and sold.
