RPP agrees to vacate Dhumbarahi-based central office in three weeks

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has agreed to vacate its central office building located in Dhumbarahi within the next three weeks. The decision came after a tripartite discussion held at the Kathmandu District Administration Office.

The meeting between the Kathmandu Metropolitan City and RPP was focused on the demolition of the RPP central office building.

As a result of the discussions, RPP Chief Secretary Kedar Bahadur Adhikari signed a letter committing to vacate the office premises within the specified three-week timeframe.

Earlier, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) had dispatched a dozer on Monday to dismantle the RPP central office building.

The decision was made based on the assertion that the construction of the building did not adhere to the required standards and was positioned below a high-tension electricity line.
