PM Dahal pledges good governance, development

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has pledged to engage himself every single day in ensuring good governance and carrying out development activities. He also vowed to address the necessities of the country and the people.

“I have thought that I would commit myself to maintaining good governance and carry out development activities throughout the rest of my life. During this tenure, I have promised to cut down on speeches and serve people,” he said while addressing a function organized on the diamond jubilee of the Narayani Namuna Secondary School in Bharatpur on Saturday.

NC will focus on organization building: General Secy Sharma

Nepali Congress (NC) general-secretary Biswo Prakash Sharma said the NC would concentrate its efforts for expanding party organization from now onwards.

In his address to a program organized by BP Foundation at Chandragadhi today on the occasion of the National Reconciliation Day, he said the NC would focus on building and consolidating its organizational base in a way to form the government after five years.

Pokhara Regional Int’l Airport to be inaugurated tomorrow

The Pokhara Regional International Airport is being inaugurated tomorrow- on Sunday. Its inauguration coincides with the English New Year, 2023.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is scheduled to inaugurate the airport, and all preparations for the same have been over, said Pokhara Metropolitan City at a press conference here today.

The police have arrested 155 fugitives who were sentenced and fined for their involvement in various crimes but fled in a span of six months.

Nepal sees five new coronavirus cases in 24 hours, active cases 30

Nepal recorded a total of five new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Saturday.

The confirmed five cases were detected through the RT-PCR method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 169 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Home Ministry to ease distribution of passport, national ID card

The Home Ministry has taken initiatives to ease the distribution of passport and national identity card following the mounting complaints of service seekers.

The spokesperson at Home Ministry, Phanindra Mani Pokhrel, informed that efforts were initiated to address the complaints of compulsion to stay in line for hours, and hassles in filling forms.

Nepali Congress General Secretary duo Gagan Kumar Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma have admitted that they have fallen behind in ruling politics this time because they could not take enough precautions.

Issuing a joint press release on the occasion of Reconciliation Day on Saturday, the General Secretaries admitted that although Nepali Congress succeeded in placing itself in first position through the people’s votes, the party could not retain the ruling power due to lack of enough homework and precautions while dealing with other political parties.
