Nepal sees 271 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 271 new cases of coronavirus and one death in the past 24 hours as of Wednesday.

Of the confirmed cases, 224 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 47 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,920 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 2,485 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,435 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 3,194 active cases in the country as 175 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

One more coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 12,001 to date.
