Nepal sees 620 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 620 new cases of coronavirus and one death in the past 24 hours as of Sunday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 496 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 124 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 5,846 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 2,651 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 3,195 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 4,567 active cases in the country as 297 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

One COVID-19 related death was recorded in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country climbs to 11,967.
