KATHMANDU: Police have destroyed illegally cultivated opium in Maygdi on Tuesday.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint police team deployed from Darwang, Babiyachaur and Singatatopani of Myagdi destroyed opium planted over five ropani land at Arman Changa of Mangala Rural Municipality-5 of the district.
