NC Gen Secy Thapa directs newly elected ones to work as per people’s aspiration



KATHMANDU: General Secretary of Nepali Congress, Gagan Thapa, has directed the newly elected people’s representatives from the alliance to work as per people’s aspiration.

The people have ire against political parties due to CPN UML government’s mishandling of the situation, he argued, adding that time has come to ensure change to the people.

At a program organized to congratulate the newly elected people’s representatives here Monday, the General Secretary accused the CPN UML of acting against political culture and people’s aspiration, which he said, had disappointed people.

He further said with the victory of alliance in most of the local levels, UML’s governments in all levels- federal, province and local level- have been removed.

“However, we are not allowed to work haphazardly. Transparency, accountability and good governance must be ensured,” he directed.
