Parties fail to garner majority in Provincial Assemblies

KATHMANDU: No party taking part in the recently-concluded election got majority in the provincial assembly.

The Nepali Congress has won a total of 105 seats including 15 seats in Province 1, 13 in Madhesh Province, 24 in Bagmati, 16 in Gandaki, 17 in Lumbini, 9 in Karnali and 11 in Sudhurpaschhim Province.

Although the final results are yet to come, according to the results so far, CPN-UML has won 90 seats in the province.

Similarly, while the Maoist Center won 53 seats, the Unified Samajbadi won 15 seats, while the RPP and the Janata Samajwadi Party won 11 seats each.
