Elections will ensure sustainable democracy, protect constitution: Minister Karki



INARUWA: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki has said that politics is a service, not a business.

Minister Karki said that he joined politics with the purpose to serve society. Minister Karki, who also shoulders the responsibility as Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, said skilled human resources, rule of law, good-governance, efficient administrative and technicians were needed for the nation-building.

On the occasion, Minister Karki argued that the upcoming general elections to be held on November 20 would ensure sustainable democracy, protection of constitution and political stability adding that the elections would lead the country to the right direction.

He was of the view that the election would be fruitful to make Nepal a developed country within a coming decade. Minister Karki, who is also the candidate of ruling alliance in Sunsari-4, claimed that he has no opponent from any political party in the general elections.

Likewise, Minister Karki assured to take initiatives to resolve the developmental issues of the constituency adding that a tender notice for the construction of telephone towers in the area has already been announced, which will address people’s concerns for poor network of mobile phone.
