Mishra to contest election from Kathmandu Constituency-1



KATHMANDU: Rabindra Mishra, who joined the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) earlier this week, has announced that he would contest the election to the House of Representatives (HoR) from Kathmandu Constituency-1.

Mishra, the senior Vice Chairman of RPP, announced his candidacy at a program held in the capital on Friday.

In the last elections held in 2074BS, he had contested from the same constituency.

He was defeated by Nepali Congress candidate Prakashman Singh.

While NC leader Singh got 10,937 votes, Mishra garnered 10,180 votes.
