Present budget to boost production: Maoist Chair Prachanda

KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has claimed farmer-focused budget was presented first ever with a view to boosting up production in the country. I

In his address to a program organized by the Party Relations Coordination Committee on Saturday, he said the reactionary and anti-people elements made allegations against the farmer-focused budget brought out by the Maoists.

He asserted that the country’s development was not possible without his party.

“We have taken ahead the country to a new budget process capable to boost up production with the mobilization of farmers in economy”.

A parliamentary probe committee was constituted to investigate into the allegation that was made to tarnish the image of Maoists, he said, adding the committee has already submitted its report stating there was no fault.

Next three months are more challenging for the Maoists, he said, stressing the need to ramp up efforts to excel in upcoming federal and provincial assembly elections.

He informed that the party was conducting a three-month election campaign targeting federal and province assembly elections.
