Tara Air shares with heavy heart news about its plane crash



KATHMANDU: Tara Air has said that it felt immense pain to inform that its 9N-AET-DHC-6 Twin Otter was found crashed today at Sansure Cliff of Thasang rural municipality-2 in Mustang.

The plane carrying 22 people including three crew members had gone missing since yesterday while en route to Jomsom of Mustang from Pokhara, Kaski.

The plane had left Pokhara for Jomsom at 9:55 am and had its last contact with the air traffic control at 10:07am.

Issuing a press statement, the airlines company said that it was shocked to say that the wreckages of the missing plane were found at an altitude of 14,500 feet.

As the company said, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN)’s search and rescue coordination committee continued search were carried out for the aircraft despite adverse weather and a challenging topography, and a team of security force has now reached the accident site to undertake further required efforts.
