Tara Air crash: 14 bodies recovered; search underway to find others

To be brought to Kathmandu today itself



KATHMANDU: The bodies of 14 passengers of a Tara Air plane that crashed in Mustang have been found.

Security personnel involved in the rescue operation said that the search was underway for the remaining people.

There were 22 people on board, including three crew members. Some of the bodies were found in an identified condition while some were found in a badly mangled condition.

Security officials said it was impossible to find anyone on board the plane alive.

The plane, which went out of contact on Sunday morning, was found crashed in Thasang rural municipality-2 of Mustang this morning.

A team of Nepal Army and Nepal Police reached there at 7.50 am, according to Mustang Chief District Officer Netra Prasad Sharma.
