Bhairahawa Airport disrupted due to flat tire of a Kathmandu-bound Buddha Air aircraft

KATHMANDU: The regular operation of Bhairahawa Airport in Rupandehi was disrupted due to a flat tire of a Buddha Air aircraft.

According to Bhairahawa office of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), there was a technical problem after a Buddha Air aircraft witnessed its tire burst on the runway.

As many as 70 passengers, including two children, were on the Buddha Air flight heading to Kathmandu from Bhairahawa. The aircraft with the flat tire was on the runway, disrupting landing and take off of other flights.

Meanwhile, aircrafts supposed to land at the airport were diverted to another airports.

Buddha Air said preparation were on to fly Kathmandu-bound passengers from another plane.

A technical team was inspecting that flat tire aircraft.
