Four ward chairs and four ward members elected unopposed in Humla



KATHMANDU: As many as four ward chairpersons and four ward members have been elected unopposed in Humla district.

Independent candidate for the post of ward 6 chairman of Namkha Rural Municipality Paljor Tamang and three ward members Chhiring Dungdup Tamang, Puddi Tamang and Tungdup Lama have become unopposed as they became the only ones filing candidacy for the respective posts.

Similarly, Rangmati Shahi is the sole candidate for the post of ward 4 chairman of Kharpunath Rural Municipality and  Dantakali Sunar is the sole candidate among the Dalit women members.

According to the District Election Office, Humla, Gorkha Lama is the sole candidate for the post of ward 4 chairman of Simkot Rural Municipality.

Also, Pratap Lama, becoming the sole candidate for the post of ward 4 chairman of Simkot Rural Municipality, is elected unopposed.
