Oli urges rank and file to go among public with UML govt’s past accomplishments

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has urged party rank and file to go among the people showcasing the accomplishments of the party at center, provinces and local levels in the past.

Chair Oli said so while addressing a ‘virtual workshop’ held by the party as part of the process to draft a commitment letter for the upcoming local elections.

According to Deputy Chief of the UML Publicity Department Bishnu Rijal, Oli instructed to take the work done by the UML governments at the central, state and local levels in the past to the people.

“Forming coalition is not by choice but by compulsion. A deer runs away if it sees a tiger. The deer has no choice but obligation to run. Otherwise, the tiger will devour it,” he said.

Oli directed cadres to get engaged in the polls without any dilemma as the UML was contesting the polls alone.

Coordinator of the commitment letter draft committee Senior Vice-chairman Ishwor Pokharel apprised the workshop participants on the theoretical aspects of the commitment letter while member of the draft committee Sushil Gyawali explained in detail about aspects of the commitment letter.

The workshop was attended by members of UML Standing Committee, office bearers of the Provincial Committees and District Committees and the elected chiefs at the municipal level.
