Poor visibility grounds planes at TIA

KATHMANDU: The flight services to and from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) have been affected due to poor visibility even today.

Both domestic and international flight services have been affected.

Currently, the visibility of the TIA is 2,000 meters, said Teknath Sitaula, the spokesperson of the TIA.

“The flight services have been affected as minimum 2,800 meters’ visibility is necessary for landings and take-offs,” said Sitaula.

The weather of the Kathmandu Valley is misty since early morning today. The flight services to and from TIA had been hit on Tuesday and Monday, too, due to poor visibility.
