Two die in Kalikot bomb blast



KALIKOT:  Two children have died in the Kalikot bomb blast that occurred at Tilagufa-10, Ranabada, Kalikot on Saturday.

According to Ramhari Sharma, the Chief District Officer of Kalikot 4-year-old local Jharna Thapa died on the spot at around 8 am and 4-year-old Saraswati Thapa died while undergoing treatment at around 11.30.

CDO Sharma informed that that 7-year-old Kamal Thapa, 5-year-old Mushkan Thapa, and 3-year-old Pakhana Thapa of the same place were injured in the same bomb blast.

“The injured have been rescued by the Nepal Army helicopter at the initiation of the Ministry of Home. They are taken to the provincial hospital Surkhet,” he said.

Sharma informed that the condition of the injured children is critical.

The police are investigating further for details.
