NEPSE rises 16.29 points to close at 1,853.76 on Thursday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 16.29 points to close at 1,853.76 points on Thursday (today).

The NEPSE index registered a gain of 0.89 percent today. Similarly, the sensitive index rose by 3.83 points to close at 363.42 points.

The index that opened at 1,836.84 made an intraday low of 1,835.95, closed at intraday high of 1,853.76 points.

A total of 1,791,480 unit shares of 223 companies were traded throughout the day, resulting in a turnover of Rs 632 million.

Nepal Insurance Co. Ltd Promoter Share was the top stock by turnover and the most-traded stock today with shares worth Rs 44 million of the total stock traded.

Aviyan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited was the top gainer, with its stock prices going up by 9.98 percent.

Likewise, Samling Power Company Limited turned out to be the top loser, with its stock prices falling by 7.94 percent.
