Pokhara CIAA records 1,118 complaints



POKHARA: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Pokhara, has recorded 1,118 complaints of corruption in the fiscal year 2021/22.

Out of 11 districts of the Gandaki Province, complaints of 10 districts except Nawalpur are filed at the CIAA, Pokhara.

However, complaints of Nawalpur are filed in Butwal office of CIAA. Out of 1,118 complaints, 707 have been settled, said Information officer of CIAA, Pokhara, Raju Kunwar. ‘

Out of 11 districts of the province, the highest number of complaints was filed from Kaski which was 457 and the lowest number of complaints from Mustang, which was 10.

The 32nd annual report of fiscal year 2021/22 submitted by CIAA, Pokhara, to Gandaki Province Chief mentioned about it.

Receiving the annual report, Province Chief Prithvi Man Gurung said the CIAA should take action against all those involved in corruption.

As per the data provided by CIAA, out of seven provinces of the country, Gandaki province registered the lowest 7.62 per cent complaints, said Chief of CIAA, Pokhara, Parbati Sharma.
