Around one lakh people leave Kathmandu every day



KATHMANDU: With the arrival of the Dashain festival, the number of people leaving Kathmandu Valley has increased rapidly.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, an average of 100,000 people have been leaving the Valley every day since the day of Ghatasthapana (Monday).

Since the Dashain public holiday will start after Friday, the number of passengers leaving Kathmandu Valley will increase significantly.

This time around 2 million people are estimated to leave the valley during Dashain.
