CAAN to take action against flying kites around TIA

KATHMANDU: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has prohibited flying kites around the Tribhuvan International Airport.

Action against such an act would be taken, according to a notice by CAAN, the government body responsible for the regulation and oversight of aviation in Nepal.

Flying kites around the airport would pose risks, it cited.

The CAAN requested all concerned not to involve in such activity citing aviation safety.

It also warned of taking stern action as per the law against anyone involved in such activities.

With the commencement of festivals including Dashain, people in general fly kites at different places of the country including the TIA vicinity.
