Appealing to sentiments of people a must to win elections: Prachanda

KATHMANDU: CPN Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said appealing to sentiments of the people was necessary for winning the elections.

Addressing a party’s program in Kathmandu on Monday, Prachanda said that one of the various ways to win the election was winning over the sentiment of the people.

Stating that Balen Shah was elected as Kathmandu Mayor by appealing to the sentiments of the people, he said the Maoist Center was looking for even intense sentiment than Shah’s.

Stressing on winning the election by associating with the sentiments of the people, he said that if they win just three seats in Kathmandu Valley, the Maoists Center was to become a powerful party.
