Mother, daughter killed in a landslide in Rukum West



RUKUM: A mother and her daughter have died in a landslide in Rukum West.

Police said that 30-year-old Balamati Rana and her two-year-old daughter Pratiksha of Athabiscot Municipality 14 Pipalchaur died in the landslide.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Bishnu Prasad Soti of Rukum West Police Office said that Balamati’s elder daughter Tirsana is undergoing treatment at District Hospital Jajarkot.

They were hit by a landslide while returning home from their maternal home.

The three were taking shelter under a tree to protect themselves from the rain while coming to their home.
