CPN-UML parliamentary party demands early Province Assembly meeting

POKHARA: The CPN-UML Gandaki Province parliamentary party demanded that the Gandaki Province Assembly meeting be called immediately.

UML Parliamentary Party chairperson Prithivi Subba Gurung rued that the request to resume the Province Assembly meeting was turned down.

He said the Province Assembly meeting is long overdue.

Gurung blamed the provincial government for being engaged in budget sharing instead of discussing the endorsement of the Province’s budget for the upcoming fiscal year, 2022/23 in the budget session.

The provincial government trying to discuss the proposed budget in the Financial Development Committee was against the parliamentary practice, rules and laws, he argued.

He demanded the earliest resolution to the current impasse.
