Unity among former Maoist leaders inevitable: Prachanda

KATHMANDU: Chairman of the Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has urged the leaders including Netra Bikram Chand “Biplav” and Mohan Baidya “Kiran” to return to the Maoist Center party saying that there is no alternative for all the Maoists to unite.

Speaking at a program in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Dahal urged all former Maoist leaders to join the Maoist Center to form an integrated party.

Prachanda claimed his urge was a reflection of the voice of the people, who want all former Maoist leaders to be in one place.

Chairman Dahal said, “The Maoists should all be in one place, and this is the people’s demand. Unity is inevitable. This is the demand of the people. The demands of the people should not be ignored.”

He further said, “Some leaders may be ashamed to come back with Prachanda again. Do not be shy, do not hesitate.”

He claimed, “Let’s be clear that it is impossible to integrate and centralize the Maoist movement without Prachanda.”
